Répondez s'il vous plaît - RESPOND PLEASE. So, here's the question of the year??? Do you R.S.V.P? Honestly. I believe that R.S.V.P.ing is a lost art. There was a time where no one would consider NOT letting someone know if they were planning on attending an event or not. Somehow people have decided that R.S.V.P. means "let me know if you can't come." No it literally does mean RESPOND PLEASE! There is a lot to do to get ready for any event, invitations, decorations, cleaning, preparing, and possibly food to purchase or prepare. When you don't know how many people to expect it makes it much more difficult.
Just look at the two extremes... Everyone shows up and you didn't prepare for nearly enough!! Or no one shows up and you did all of that work for nothing! Now grant it, neither of those is typical, but, they are possible.
So next time you see those four little letters scripted across the bottom of an invitation please be courteous and RESPOND.
